Badnerlied am Breitscheidplatz: Freiburg

Badnerlied [Anthem of Baden][+English translation] The capital is red-black. Around the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, thousands of fans of SC Freiburg gathered on Saturday morning. Between the bratwurst stalls, stage and beer stands, the wide travelers repeatedly smashed the "Badnerlied" and cheered the first final participation in their club. Since there were no special trains from Breisgau to Berlin for organizational reasons, many people booked themselves into regular connections between Deutsche Bahn. Trains from the Black Forest were quickly fully booked, which is why numerous Freiburg detours accepted, for example, via Cologne.

The mood did not cloud, the red-dressed southern German cup folds stretched up all over the city center: there was also an exuberant atmosphere at the Brandenburg Gate, at Potsdamer Platz and Theodor-Heuss-Platz. From there, the active fan scene wants to break up to the Olympic Stadium from 4 p.m. The Leipzig supporters gathered near the exhibition center.

The "Supporters Crew Freiburg" had previously criticized the opponent, the march initiated by it to the stadium leads not far from the Leipzig fan festival. VfL Osnabrück has already opened openly with the sports club, also Bundesliga club VfL Bochum wrote via Twitter: "Grab the pot! Good success people". So much rivalry between southern Baden and Saxony, but apparently peaceful. When asked about the Deutsche Bahn, the Berlin police were unable to report any incidents in the early afternoon. Only a number of vehicles of the Red Bull beverage parking, which largely finances Leipzig, is kept kicking out in the tours through the city.
