BVB bids farewell to Rauball, Lunow becomes a follower

Borussia Dortmund has selected Reinhard Randall as the first honorary president of the club's history. The 75-year-old was at the top of the club for 23 years and was passed from office by the general meeting on Sunday in the Westfalenhalle with standing ovations. The members elected as the brand-new president without the vote against Randall's previous deputy Reinhold Lu now (69), who explained his predecessor as the coach.

While Randall's 3rd term as President, Borussia Dortmund won two champions, won the DFB Cup 3 times and remained in the final of the Champions League in 2013. The club grew with Randall at the top, and BVB announced a record on Sunday. The club has 168,163 members and lies behind FC Bayern Munich (295,000), Benefice Lisbon (267,000) and the German Alpine Association (179,000) in 4th location worldwide.

Randall himself spoke of excellent luck that I was permitted to practice this position for so long. Managing Director Hans-Joachim Wake stated and emphasized the cooperation to Randall: We owe you a lot of thanks.

Randall was chosen to the office of BVB President for the 3rd time in 2004. Throughout his first term from 1979 to 1982, the 32-year-old attorney, as the youngest president of a Bundesliga club at the time, went down in history, his second term in between 1984 and 1986 was marked by a recession of BVB, which was effectively mastered not the least thanks to Randall ended up being.
